26th January 2022 Windsurfing: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Mainly cloudy Max Speed: 15.90 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 8.91 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Wednesday 26th January – bike *** – Around Felixstowe including lunch at The Ferry – mainly cloudy. With our boiler being serviced this morning we stayed in, me doing the usual exercises while Mag played with her much loved compost in the back garden. Then with a flask of hot water for our much-loved cuppa soup we set off on our bikes at 1.10 heading down to the prom which was busy despite for the main part being cloudy but slightly milder than of late. Taking the usual way once leaving The Fludgers to Conkerland down the windy path to the prom leading to The Dip where workmen are redoing the joins in the concrete! More people out and about this way today as we reach our lunch spot where the Deben enters the sea with the sun now breaking through:) We really enjoy our lunch, warming soup with a great view, what more could you ask for! Then onto Felixtowe Ferry but no tri around the boat yard today as I take some pics of a fishing boat tired up at the jetty. Then out onto the Deben path to Kingsfleet taking Marsh Lane back the Felixstowe town centre for a quick shop at Iceland before heading home for yummy homemade cake with a cuppa. Am getting excited as there are some milder days with breeze forecast over the next week, hopefully starting tomorrow even if the tides are not ideal but will anyway:) Photo Album Here |
